7. Development Roadmap and Future Plans

7.1 Current Progress Overview​

Currently, the VshareCloud project is in its early stages of development, with the core team focusing on building the foundational technical framework and prototype. We have completed the following key tasks:

  • Conducted technical requirement analysis and market research, identifying the target market and potential user needs for VshareCloud.
  • Established the basic technical architecture of the project, including preliminary designs for distributed storage and computing frameworks.
  • Launched an open-source community, attracting initial attention and technical contributors.
  • Completed the core part of the code writing and preliminary testing, verifying the feasibility of the technical solution.
  • Defined the overall vision and development plan for the project, with thorough research and technical preparation for long-term goals.

7.2 Short-Term and Long-Term Objectives​

Short-Term Goals (Next 6-12 Months):

  • Complete the preliminary prototype development of VshareCloud, implementing basic distributed storage and computing functions.
  • Initiate internal testing to collect feedback for optimizing system performance and user experience.
  • Establish a network of partners, including technology providers, research institutions, and early adopters, to participate in product iteration and improvement.
  • Release the Alpha version of VshareCloud, inviting community members to participate in testing and provide feedback.

Long-Term Goals (Next 2-5 Years):

  • Become a leading open-source solution for distributed storage and computing, with high scalability, security, and performance advantages.
  • Build a strong developer and user community, continuously driving innovation and application of VshareCloud.
  • Establish cooperative relationships with leading enterprises and organizations, applying VshareCloud in various industry scenarios.
  • Promote the globalization of VshareCloud, ensuring active users and contributors in multiple countries and regions.

7.3 Expected Milestones​

  1. Prototype Development Completion (Q2 2024) - Finish the development of the basic prototype of VshareCloud, implementing core functions. Start internal testing to optimize performance and user experience. Testnet goes live.

  2. Internal Testing Phase (Q3 2024) - Begin internal testing to optimize performance and user experience. Ensure the overall stability and security of the Vshare network, safeguarding the interests of industry partner miners. DC Zenith goes live.

  3. Alpha Version Release (Q3 2024) - Release the Alpha version to the public, collecting feedback from early users and developers. Integrate miners from the open community to secure the overall stability and security of Vshare. DC Galaxy goes live.

  4. Establishing Industry Partnerships (Q4 2024) - Form partnerships with key enterprises and organizations within the industry to jointly promote the application of VshareCloud. Develop richer application scenarios, approach different industry clients, and integrate more industry partners to build a robust and stable DC Zenith network.

  5. Global Community Building (Q2 2025) - Build a global developer and user community, continually enhancing the influence and application scope of VshareCloud. Offer professional enterprise solutions, attracting more high-quality orders and enterprise-level customers. DC Premium goes live.

  6. Building a Rich Application Ecosystem (Q4 2025) - Collaborate with developers and partners to build a rich application ecosystem, promoting the application of VshareCloud in various industry scenarios. Open-source parts of the system core code to attract more developers and users to participate in the construction of the IPFS network, jointly building industry standards.

By setting these short-term and long-term goals along with key expected milestones, the VshareCloud project can progress in an orderly manner, gradually realizing its vision to become a leading open-source distributed storage computing solution.
